Nimbus Dance Works will open a school of dance in Downtown Jersey City with classes beginning September 2012. The school’s focus will be on professional caliber instruction grounded in ballet and modern dance technique along with other dance forms. Through the school’s association with the professional company, students will be exposed to the high standards of artistry and excellence that Nimbus is known for. Opportunities to learn from and perform alongside professional dancers will be integrated into the school’s curriculum on an ongoing basis including the company’s annual Jersey City Nutcracker production. The school will draw students from throughout Jersey City with need--‐based scholarships available in order to ensure access to high quality dance education for all.
