Community Invited to Rebuild By Design Concept Presentation Public Meeting

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will hold a public meeting to solicit input on the proposed concepts for the Rebuild by Design Hudson River: Resist, Delay, Store, Discharge Project. The meeting is open to all members of the public and will take place on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Wallace Elementary School gymnasium, located at 1100 Willow Avenue in Hoboken.

The project is a comprehensive urban water management strategy that will be implemented through $230 million in funding awarded through the Rebuild by Design competition. The Rebuild by Design team will introduce five concepts for the community to consider and provide feedback on at the meeting.  Come learn about how the proposed concepts were evaluated based on the purpose and need, benefits to the community, and potential impacts to the environment.  Share your input and get an update on the project.

Project updates, documents including concept materials, and a schedule of upcoming events can be found on the project website at http://www.rbd-hudsonriver.nj.gov
