"Rise & Shine" Yoga at Church Square Park
Saturday, June 19th at 9am and 10am
9am class will be taught by Laurie Goldstein from Club H
10am will be taught by the owner of Devotion yoga
$25 per class (to be paid day of event)
Participants are encouraged to bring their own mat
We will provide mats for those that don't have them at $10/mat
Volunteer "event coordinator" responsibilities:
* Hang posters around town, post the event details on yahoomoms, forward info to HFA for posting on website,
* Get all yoga studios to announce/market the event (NYSC, Skyclub, Surya, etc)
* Confirm with teachers a week in advance of event
* Purchase 15 mats
* Assign 5 volunteers for day of event to: setup tables, water /snacks in morning (be there 7:30am); collect $25 fee from participants; direct people to the area of class; direct merchants to area for setup; breakdown and cleanup after event.
* Secure a "rain location" - we have phone numbers of places that might be able to provide this.
* Contact health/wellness merchants/organizations to attend to chat and give out info. We have Ariele's Apothecary coming - they will do some reflexology and little massages during the wind down of the event. We were thinking maybe a Chiropractor/ holistic healer
* Contact health/wellness food based merchants to donate snacks -possibly Basic Foods, Garden of Eden, Empire Coffee is giving us some "Zen Iced Tea" and we have water from past events already.
* Send thank you notes or emails to all merchants and volunteers involved after event ends.
