PAVING OF RIVER STREET RESCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, MAY 21; FREE GARAGE PARKING AVAILABLE
As a result of scheduling conflicts from moving the resurfacing work on River Street from nighttime to daytime hours, the paving portion of the work on River Street between Hudson Place and 4th Street has been postponed until Monday, May 21. Milling work will be completed today, and asphalt will be temporarily placed around manhole covers.
On Monday, May 21, residents and visitors are advised to expect traffic delays in the area and to consider alternate routes.
Due to the unpredictable access to driveways and off-street parking as a result of the resurfacing work on River Street between Hudson Place and 4th Street, the City will be providing free garage parking to residents affected by the work. Free parking will be available in municipal Garage B (entrance on 2nd Street between River Street and Hudson Street) and Garage D (entrance on Hudson Street between 2nd Street and 3rd Street) from 8pm on Sunday, May 20 to noon on Tuesday, May 22. Residents who need to exit a garage via River Street are advised to exit by 8am on Monday, May 21, park in a municipal garage, or on-street. Free garage parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
