Oct. 14: Heirloom Garlic-Tasting Festival & Green Market

Sunday, Oct. 14 * 1 - 5pm

Location: Hoboken Historical Museum, 1301 Hudson St., (201) 656-2240

Garlic Festival-Farmer Rich Sisti
Farmer Rich and his garlic.
Calling all cooks and foodies! Farmers Rich and Sue Sisti return to the Museum in a few weeks with samples of their heirloom garlic varieties, cultivated for generations for the richness and subtlety (or punch) of their flavors. Try the pink-streaked "Red Toch," from Tochliavri, Republic of Georgia, or the spicy "Lorz Italian," brought over by the Lorz family from Italy before 1900.
The Sistis will bring a truckload of late summer produce from Wantage, N.J., for sale in a small green market as well. To learn more about the event, call 201-656-2240. If you'd like to volunteer, please email volunteers@hobokenmuseum.org
