Mile Square Theatre, Hudson County’s leading professional theatre, is pleased to announce full and partial scholarships for its 2018 Summer Workshops.
MST Summer Dance Workshops offer a diverse curriculum featuring Dance Conditioning, Ballet, Contemporary, Theatre Dance, Hip Hop, Flamenco, Improvisation, and Young Choreographers’ Workshop. Last year’s workshop featured dancers from the cast of Broadway’s The King and I. Students work with professional dancers in an environment that encourages creativity and artistic growth.
MST Summer Theater Workshops offer an opportunity for students to work with professional actors on auditioning and theatre technique as well as perform on MST's stage. New York City casting director Judy Bowman will critique auditions and offer feedback to student actors. Students who take the performance workshop will work on A Wrinkle in Time.
The teaching staff includes Sarah Weber Gallo (Director of Mile Square Theatre Dance Academy and senior dancer with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet), Chris O’Connor (Artistic Director of Mile Square Theatre, Assistant Professor at Molloy College and freelance director and actor), and Annie McAdams (Director of Mile Square Theatre Education and adjunct faculty at Drew University Department of Theatre and Dance).
Scholarships for Mile Square Theatre Summer Workshops are made possible by the generous support of Exec | Comm. Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch will qualify for full scholarships. Students who demonstrate financial need will qualify for full or partial scholarships.
