Summer is a great time for school aged kids, entering 1st through 6th grades, to catch up their reading skills while winning prizes for the hours they read. The Hoboken Public Library is sponsoring “Make a Splash, Read!” for young readers. Kids can win prizes for 1,5,10,15, and 20 hours of reading. Kids who read more than 20 hours compete in a Super Splash contest for the most hours read. The top reader will get 4 tickets to the Hoboken Clearview Cinema, and two runners up will receive 2 tickets, each. The program begins on July 5, and the program is open only to children with a Hoboken library card. Call the Children’s Department at 201-420-2348 for information.
