Schedule:
Literacy Class: (SATURDAYS, starting on February 20, 2010)
Beginner (4-5 years old) 9.30am-10.15am
Intermediate (5-7 years old) 10.30am-11.15am
Advanced (7-9 years old) 11.30am-12.15pm

Beginner:
Introduction to the understanding of alphabets such as putting them in order from A through Z, differentiating between capital (uppercase) letters from lowercase letters, introduction to writing such as learning to hold a pencil, tracing alphabets and other objects, introduction to reading.

Intermediate:
Intermediate reading such as reading simple chapter books, simple reading comprehension, introduction to the rhythm of reading, introduction of the use of dictionary, intermediate writing such as learning to write simple journals, learning to answer short essay questions, understanding the structure of good writing (introduction, body, conclusion), learning appropriate punctuations.

Advanced:
Advanced level class is intended to apply the reading materials to other subjects such as social science, science, mathematics, history, creative writing, geography, and other topics that your child might be interested in.

Mathematics Class (SUNDAYS, starting on February 14, 2010)
Beginner (4-6 years old) 9.30am-10.15am
Advanced (7-9 years old) 10.30am-11.15am

Beginner:
Introduction to basic numbers and putting them in order from 1 through 100, basic and intermediate patterns, matching, measuring, basic additions and subtractions, simple word problems, writing numbers.

Advanced:
Learning advanced patterns, order of objects, word problems, advanced additions and subtractions, basic multiplication and beginning division.
