Nina Hatfield was among our organizers and a librarian in those early years. She's the subject of a monologue created and being performed by Hoboken actress Florence Pape, better known for her work with the Hudson Theatre Ensemble and its children's branch "Silly on Sixth". Working with Florence as dramatic advisor is Laurie Brongo. The monologue will be presented, free of charge, on Tuesday, October, 19th at 8 pm, in the library's readng room. Following the performance, Adam Winger, Digital Services Librarian at the Stevens Library and Matt Latham, Hoboken Public Library Reference Librarian, will discuss the pioneering Stevens Family, who donated the land and funded much of the building of the library, which still stands today. There's also a display about the Stevens Family and the library in the second floor vestibule. At the end of this special presentation, join us for birthday cake and coffee. RSVP 201- 420-2347
