The Hoboken Family Alliance and its newly created College Scholarship Fund will be the proud recipients of a benefit concert performed by the Guitar Bar All-Stars on Thursday Nov. 10 at Mulligan's.
Guitar Bar All-Stars Hour of Power is the latest musical number to join the The musical Mile Square, home to great bands, singers, venues and musical stores like Guitar Bar. The free concert series run monthly at Mulligan’, 158 1st Street, and is the brainchild of longtime Hoboken resident and business owner, James Mastro. He opened Guitar Bar on 1st Street in 1996 and Guitar Bar Jr. on 11th Street a year ago. He created the concerts as a way to connect residents and causes using the power of live music. “Hoboken is all about community and we think this is a great way to bring this town together even more.”
The show is free but Mastro and his band help encourage contributions the old-fashioned way – passing a hat. Proceeds will go toward three scholarships to local high-school students attending college next fall. Get out with friends for a fun, local night and help contribute to the College Scholarship Fund.
