Helping children grow up to be responsible, healthy adults in today's society can be quite difficult but there are some secrets that can make it easier. That's what Redeemer Hoboken Church believes and they are eager to share those secrets with the community.
On Saturday (8:45am to 2:30pm), October 15, 2011, Redeemer Hoboken Church is hosting a parenting seminar open to the community. A time for teaching and also a time for sharing will take place with an emphasis on helping parents solve the real problems they are facing.
Too many parenting seminars give vague, general principles that we all know like, 'be consistent,' "follow through on what you say," or "don't be so angry with your kids." This seminar will help parents learn how to do this in very practical ways.
The seminar entitled, "Everyday Parents CAN Raise Extraordinary Kids!" will be taught by the National Center for Biblical Parenting co-founders Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller, RN, BSN out of Lawrenceville, NJ. Using drama, stories, and an interactive style these two teachers provide practical advice that parents can put into practice right away.
Each session will also have time for sharing and interaction, giving you an opportunity to share some of the real problems you are facing and to get some help.
The seminar is being offered at a reduced rate of $25 per person, which includes breakfast and snacks. Seating is limited, and Redeemer Hoboken asks that you to register at www.Redeemerhoboken.com as early as possible to ensure a seat.
The parenting seminar is only one of the ways that Redeemer Hoboken cares for families. Their programs on Sunday morning are also helpful for children as well as adults. The parenting seminar will be held at Mustard Seed School, 422 Willow Ave. #3, Hoboken, NJ, 07030-4177.
