Cultural Competency: Preparing Today’s Children for Success in a Global Society
In the 21st century, successful citizens will need to cultivate knowledge, competencies and habits of mind to communicate effectively across difference with respect and compassion. Today’s children will necessarily navigate an increasingly multicultural and international collegiate experience, professional world and global society. Research consistently finds that the work of developing open-mindedness and embracing differences as a source of strength begins in Early Childhood and Lower School.
In this workshop, internationally renowned educational consultant Dr. Derrick Gay will share re-search-based strategies to enrich parenting of intelligent, informed, successful and compassionate 21st century students.
