Guitar Bar is happy to announce it's summer program "Rock Camp" is back for 2017. Guided by our staff of professional teachers and touring musicians, a group of 3 to 5 students of similar age (ranging from 10-17) and skills will put a rock band together. Students do require some knowledge/lesson experience on their chosen instrument.
From choosing a name, picking or writing their own songs, and rehearsing, the group will learn the inner dynamics and challenges of working together with one common goal - a live performance for family and friends at the end of the two-week session.
Included in the session, students may have the opportunity to play other instruments, as is often done in a typical band experience.
Classes run on a two-week cycle, Monday through Thursday, from 11am-1pm at Guitar Bar. The performance will be on the Thursday evening of the final day of the session at 7pm. Performance spaces will be announced soon, but in the past they have been at Maxwell's and Mulligan's.
Enrollment is limited, so stop in or call for availability and more information.
