Kathleen, your favorite "toy store lady", here, reaching out today to share with some of my absolute favorite Big Fun supporters that I am walking my 2nd ever Avon Walk this October in NYC! I'll walk 39 miles in two days with the hopes of coming closer with every step to ending breast cancer.
For those of you who may not know, I lost my own mom to breast cancer 15 years ago, so this is a cause that is very meaningful to me. Not only did I watch her battle this awful disease, I myself now have to be on alert for the future. The Avon Walk is a great opportunity for me to fight against this disease, and to benefit our local community, because the Avon Foundation donates locally in the NY area. What I'm asking for today is a donation toward my $1800 required goal to participate. Greatly appreciated donations can be as small as $5.00, but I'd love to get as many people as possible to sponser me by donating $1.00/mile, which will encourage me to keep walking the whole event! You will see an option to do this on the donation page (see link at bottom of email).
