From pre-School creative dramatics, to fun and accessible classes in acting, Shakespeare, and comedy, MST offers a variety of drama classes for a full range of young people, taught by an experienced faculty of teaching artists.

Mime and Clowning Ages 10-14
Discover your inner clown in this hilariously fun class. We'll learn mime techniques like pulling ropes and creating walls, plus learn to create a comic character. Students will create their own comic performance pieces.

Page to Stage Ages 8-10
Have you ever wanted to bring your favorite story to life? Students will each share a story and the class will choose one to stage as a play. The play will be entirely student-generated as they use their voices and bodies to create the characters, environment and world of the story.

Playwriting Ages 12-15
Students will learn the basics of playwriting and the power of their own voices to tell stories. The course
will culminate in staged readings of short plays.

Adventures in Storytelling Ages 4-5
An exciting introduction to drama! We will dive into some of the best children's stories, bringing imagination to life through movement, sound, costumes, and props.

Improvisation and
Theatre Games Ages 6-7
This class explores physical, vocal, and ensemble work in bringing imagined scenes and stories to life. Students build confidence, learn problem solving, and collectively activate their imaginations in a fun and safe environ*ment.

Adventures in Shakespeare Ages 8-11
In this class we will bring Shakespeare to life through performance! Working on brief monologues and scenes, students will have the opportunity to understand Shake*speare's words through character work and actions.

Pre-School Creative Drama Ages 3.5-4
Creative Drama is a place where students explore their imaginations, bodies, voices, and senses through creative play. They'll read stories and act them out, incorporating music and props. Students will have a great time and be*come more confident expressing themselves individually and within a group.

The Magical "Me" Ages 6-7
Join us for afternoons of imagination, creativity, and teamwork during which we'll share stories, poems, songs, dances and games. We'll all be both actors and audience, learning to respect, support and listen to each other in order to make theatrical magic. Our class will culminate in a final performance of a few of our very favorite sto*ries: The Magical "Me" and the Wonderful "We."

BEING on Stage Ages 7-9
Students will learn the fundamental tools needed for
'BEING' on stage. Theatre exercises, improvisations and scenes will teach the students about physical awareness, spacial relationship, group dynamics and 'being present'. This class improves overall awareness, creativity and expres*sion and will create presence on stage. And it's lots of fun!

Technique of Acting Ages 10-14
Students learn the fundamental techniques for playing a character--actions, obstacles, and objectives. Using 'open scenes' and improvs, students progress to working on scenes from plays.
