The Hoboken Family Alliance is hosting our 11th
Annual Back to School Supplies Drive
Saturday, August 1 to Tuesday, September 8, 2020 to benefit children in need within Hudson County.
Whether children will be going back to school or remote learning, many of these children do not even have pens or pencils at home. HFA is committed to helping children succeed by ensuring every child in need is ready to learn. Children living at or below the poverty line will find it difficult to get enough to eat this summer as their parents struggle to keep the lights on and make rent – they simply cannot afford to buy backpacks and school supplies.
FINANCIAL DONATIONS: Each donation of $25 will provide one backpack for a child, stocked with essential supplies. Financial donations are encouraged because HFA’s non-profit status allows it to purchase items without paying 7% sales tax.

If you are making a monetary donation, a tax receipt will be automatically generated.
If a child is prepared for the first day of school, whether they are remote learning or physically going to school, with a backpack and the right school supplies, the child will have the confidence to work towards having a successful school year.
Our backpack and school supply donations will go to children in need from the following organizations: In Jesus Names Charities, Division of Youth Family Services (DYFS), Hoboken Housing Authority, Family Promise and York Street Project.
