Bigger. Better. More efficient. That’s what emergency patients are saying about the new ER at Hoboken University Medical Center, which opened for patients on June 16. From a large fish tank in the kid-friendly waiting room to four pediatric-dedicated emergency treatment rooms -- more and more parents are finding great emergency care in their neighborhood. Visitors noticed an immediate difference in the 17,000-square-foot facility at Fourth Street and Willow Avenue.
“The admitting process was so quick,” commented one Hoboken mom whose 13-year-old son presented with symptoms of appendicitis. “I didn’t have to fill out any forms. We went directly from triage to a pediatric room and the admitting staff brought all the forms I needed to sign directly at my son’s side.”
